Spring is in the air!  Grass is becoming greener and I noticed my lilac bushes are beginning to bud! I can’t wait to plant my garden and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that snow doesn’t return until December!

Today on the blog I decided to re-wind just a bit and share images of one of my favorite Albuquerque, New Mexico families. I’ve been photographing this family since their oldest was one and it’s been great privilege to watch this family grow.

Personal projects are getting done, and I love that we have snow on the ground.  Now….if only I could get the snow blower to work!  hmmmm…….

Lets rewind just a bit back to November when me and Mallory were in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Mallory LOVES Old Town, so of course that was on our list of things to do.  She’s just a shopper and was on the prowl for a new purse. Lucky for me she did find one in the 8th shop we visited. Otherwise…. she would have kept whining and whining and looking and looking!

Ok…this lack of snow is really throwing me for a loop. We are suppose to be hibernating right?  Not taking bike rides at the beginning of January?  This warm weather is  wonderful and makes me feel like I’m right back in ABQ!

Speaking of ABQ….I have some more happy snaps to share with you from my November trip.

On a windy morning, I took Mallory to the Petroglyph National Monument.  This place was literally in my in-laws back yard when they lived in ABQ and I had taken the girls there a few times before when they were much younger, but since we were in a desert climate and rattlesnakes are very common, I found it hard to keep two rambunctious  little people on the trails and off the rocks and feared they just might corner a snake and it would strike!  So it had been awhile….so long in fact, Mallory didn’t even remember being there!  Whatever KID!!   Needless to say, we had a great time together.

Whippersnappers and I had planned to put on another “FreshFace” contest this fall, but our schedules didn’t allow for it.  We did manage to grab our kids, plus one, on a glorious golden afternoon. We had hoped to finish everything up in October using local Eau Claire children, but instead Whippersnappers shipped a few outfits to Albuquerque, New Mexico, so we could wrap everything up, since I was working there for most of November.

We will be looking for a hat model(s) in a few weeks, so watch your Facebook news feeds for that announcement if you know of any cute kid in the Eau Claire area.  On a side note: I have no idea what age were looking for yet.
