Yesterday I offered a Movie Night give away…..I had two lovely comments left here, so how can I just pick only one. So, I will give away TWO movie boxes to each lovely lady who I know checks in with me almost daily.  Thanks ladies for the support!

Anything worth doing, is worth doing right. 

Growing.  Changing.  Evolving.

Choosing to be a photographer and creating a photography business is not something that is easily mapped out for me, much less anyone creating a business.  I am constantly learning, changing, growing, evolving, and hardly ever standing still.  When I launched Kathryn Rose Images in the fall of 2008, I couldn’t wait for clients to see my awesome website that I had spent many countless and thoughtful hours putting together only to find out, to my dismay, two other photographers in the Eau Claire area had implemented the same web design as me!  I was calling myself unique and I felt far from it.

I have come full circle with myself since March of 2009.

I now realize that my website is my hand-shake and my photo journal is my voice.  I truly hope my clients have a crystal-clear and concise picture of what Kathryn Rose Images is all about and know me as a person. Have a look around, maybe you’ll spy a pretty face that you know all too well.

Spring is upon us!  It’s time for a fresh change!

I’m feeling great and back to work!

Last night I had a senior session with  one gorgeous girl! Take a look at this fabulous sunset we had during her session!

Picking up from where I left off before my 3 week trip to Albuquerque, New Mexico.     

 Maybe you know? Maybe you don’t?     

I have added High School seniors to my portfolio. YES! There is another high school senior photographer in the Eau Claire area for you to chose from. I’m beyond anxious and excited to work with this “older” crowd. (wink) Before I left unexpectedly, I met up with miss “E” and she was so easy going, so full of ambition and hopes to travel the world once she leaves the high school and college scene behind that I have no doubt she’ll achieve her goal.     

Simply lovely she is.   I’ll start this post off with my favorite images from our evening

As I sit here in the early morning hours editing her photos searching for something so stunning and breath taking to post here on my photo journal, I caught myself laughing out loud at all the in-between captures that made our time together an absolute joy!  

To laugh. To make others laugh. That’s easy and something that happens daily in most every one’s life.  

BUT…..  

…to laugh at yourself AND to laugh at yourself with others is a rare quality as we grow older and life becomes more intense.  

To see her so happy, carefree, bubbly and so comfortable in her own skin at 17 years of age…simply priceless. 

I can only hope one day when my own girls are grown, they too are viewed this way.
