Fall Colors/Eau Claire Family Photographer

I’ve fallen off the blog train a bit. Sorry about that.

I just returned from sunny Albuquerque last night.

First on my agenda is to clear up a traffic jam of families and recent work to be blogity blogged!

First up….Julie and her beautiful kids. The Albuquerque Botanical gardens were the perfect backdrop for her active kids and one beautiful mama.

This mom is just AWESOME!! She’s gorgeous. Plays the guitar. Sings. And get this….her kids sing with her! I loved the little concert they gave me.




We all got a kick out of the chickens that would just follow is around. At least they were color coordinated.

Session Fee $100.00 (up to 4 people $20 for each additional person) and is due at time of scheduling your appointment.  

• Your sessions will last 45 minutes to an hour.
• 20-30 images to view in color and black and white.
• Personal online slideshow with a protected password used to view images from your session and share with friends and family.

* Two hour session either at your home or at a mutually chosen location.
* Personal online slideshow with a protected password used to view images from your session and share with friends and family.

I work on each individual portrait to give every image a unique, custom look.

I’ll take Thirty $400 (plus tax and shipping)
* 30 fully edited digital negatives from your shoot in both color and black and white (total of 60 images)
* Select three portraits to be professionally printed in the following sizes: (1) 16×20, (1) 11X14 and an 8×10

EAU CLAIRE FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHER/ Chantelle

Something you should know about me….you know how I love to photograph families and capture how they interact with each other, BUT, when it comes to photographing my personal friends and their families I get sweaty palms and knots inside. I sit and stew once the session is over. I over-edit. Over-crop. Over-think everything about their images instead of letting it flow. I pause too much until I have to walk away from the computer…and then I find my creative way.

She’s waited long enough to view her images. In fact I’m embarrassed to say how long.

I imagine she’ll be pleasantly surprised when she views this post all the while muttering to herself “what took her so long?”

Her friendship is what comes to mind when I think of my childhood.

We met in the 5th grade. She was my very first best bud. We shared together our love of Cabbage Patch and Strawberry Shortcake dolls. Played together every recess. We were the only girls tough enough to play soccer with the boys. We’d sing our favorite songs and make-up funny dances to “Let’s hear it for the Boy” and “Material Girl.” Our birthday’s are one day apart. (I’m the older one. ) We’d walk home every day together enjoying each other’s company before we parted ways going home to empty houses. We both came from divorced households. I was there when she broke her arm and still vividly picture her falling, hearing the snap, and feeling the cool breeze hit my face as I cradled her against me as we walked back to the classroom for help. For 10 months I constantly saw her face and we talked almost every day.
That was the only time we ever attended the same school together.

Flash forward to present day. Our boys were born six months apart and we have hopes that they in turn might find lasting friendship in each other . We never miss our birthday calls. I’m a part of her family and she’s a part of mine. We end every phone conversation with I love you.

And very much loved is she. My Chantelle.

This is a family focused mini session with a custom designed package that includes a single digital negative for printing your own holiday cards.
As you know my style is not traditional in the way that I will pose you and have everyone looking at the camera as if life were perfect. I will capture your family perfectly imperfect, interacting with each other as life is for everyone on a daily basis. Think of me as your own private paparazzi for 40 minutes. Please arrive happy, playful, prompt and with a anything goes attitude that is simply you.
The portrait package for this mini-session includes:
  • 40 minute family session
  • 1 High Resolution Digital Negative of a chosen photo
  • 2 – 5 x 7 prints
  • 1 – 8 x 10 professionally mounted print
  • 1 – 10 x 20 professionally mounted Storyboard

Package Price: $250.00

*Package prints not limited to a single image.
*Family session is based on four members only. Please add $15. for each additional member.
